SCLEROTHERAPY
Sclerotherapy is considered the gold standard in treating telangiectasias and small varicose veins. The procedure involves injecting a chemical solution directly into the vessel, which damages the vein wall and induces a controlled inflammatory response, leading to fibrosis and closure of the treated vessel.

SCLEROTHERAPY
Sclerotherapy is a procedure that involves injecting a sclerosing agent into affected blood vessels. The solution causes the vessel walls to contract, triggering a controlled inflammatory process that leads to fibrosis and permanent closure of the vein.
This treatment can be used for both small and large varicose veins and is also effective in managing insufficiency of the larger superficial veins.
During the procedure, the vein is punctured with a fine needle through which the solution is administered. The substance irritates and constricts the vein walls, leading to inflammation that causes the vessel to close and eventually be absorbed by the body.
After sclerotherapy, varicose veins usually shrink or disappear completely. However, results may vary depending on the patient’s overall health and the severity of the condition. In some cases, the veins remain partially open, requiring additional sessions.
Typically, the treatment can be completed in a single session, though the number of sessions depends on the extent of the veins and the desired outcome. The dosage and number of treatments are always tailored individually for each patient to ensure safety and effectiveness.
